FVDPS Basic Employment Application

If you would like to submit an Employment Application, please take the following steps:

1 Print the Employment Application.
2 Complete the Application including the contact information at the very top of the first page (telephone number, email address, and date of birth). Also include your O-Key number (if known) at the top of the second page.
3 Fax or email the application to the Fort Valley Police Department. The fax number is 478-822-6985. The email address is jobs@fortvalleypolice.com.

Please be aware that the Fort Valley Police Department offers its officers a unique opportunity to pursue higher education while being a full-time police officer.

If you pursue a bachelors degree at Fort Valley State University, for example, the Fort Valley Police Department will guarantee (yes, guarantee) that your work schedule will be customized to fit around your class schedule. This will allow you to attend your classes while still maintaining a full-time work schedule with the Department.
